A large, beautifully maintained state cemetery that our team knows. Our funeral directors have assisted hundreds of DFW families with their dedicated services at this cemetery. Families who choose to have their veterans cremated in Fort Worth are encouraged to move their loved one's urn to Dallas-Fort Worth. place in one of the niches of the columbarium in the national cemetery, or opt for a traditional urn burial.

The Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery was dedicated and opened for burial on May 12, 2000. It is the sixth national cemetery in Texas and the 118th in the national cemetery system. The cemetery is located on a 638.5 acre lot overlooking Mountain Creek Lake.

To date, the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs has developed 152 acres of its 638-acre cemetery, with 85,778 cemeteries and 31,918 columbaria/garden alcoves for cremated remains. When fully developed, the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery will accommodate 280,000 eligible veterans and dependents.
